Kara
Walker-Tomé is an independent curator specializing
in exhibitions featuring emerging contemporary artists.
She has curated many shows both in non-traditional spaces

| Kara
has lived in South Florida since 2000. She was the Education
Director at the Palm Beach Institute of Contemporary Art
from 2001-2004 and the Director of Program Development at
the Armory Art Center from 2004-2005. In 2007 she was one
of three nominees in the visual arts category for the inaugural
Muse Award presented by the Palm Beach County Cultural Council
recognizing “outstanding achievements in art and culture.”
Kara hails from Los Angeles, where she received her MFA
from CalArts and worked in non-profit arts for a decade. |
